Outward Signs

light snow

falling

peacefully

occasionally a

much larger snowflake

will fall halfway

to the ground

but then

catching

a breath
of courage

moves

upward

then

deciding

yes, now

settles

gracefully

I will go out

to walk in this

new snow and

imagine that

I know exactly

where one

snowflake

decided

finally 

to rest
